Dumb question (?): where to get NVidia BIOSs

I went to the NVidia website, I looked around, I used their search feature, I used google. Where on earth do you go to get official NVidia BIOS updates?? I got the drivers, but I want to make sure the BIOS on the card is up to date as well...

Thanks for any help, or to whomever explains how I am (most likely) being an idiot... ;)

You'd have to go to the manufacturers site (i.e. evga, xfx, asus, etc..)

Nvidia doesn't make the cards (although all the first batch of 8800 cards were all made by the same company, Asus), all of the different manufacturers make the cards and the subsequent BIOS.

I don't really like the update the bios (especially of a video card) if I'm not having any trouble with it. So if a BIOS update fixes some fan issue and you don't have it then there really isn't any need to update the bios. A bios update normally doesn't change the speed of the card at all. Normally the drivers do that the most (and the clockspeed of the card).

For better Nvidia drivers you can check out TweaksRUs and their XTreme-G Drivers (currently the XG97.92 is the current one, and most popular).

Your card manufacturer (evga, xfx, bfg, etc.) should have the BIOS for your card on their website. Card manufacturers all use different BIOSes :)

edit: oops wizboy beat me to it
