Dumb question of the day, will 128x4 1GB memory modules work on a 845 PE mobo?

Im trying to find my brother some memory for his computer came across a decent deal for a 1gb stick but the webside has this warning....
Do not buy this item until you have verified that you have a motherboard with a VIA PT800 chipset or an a SIS chipset with a 963 North Bridge, programmed to accept 128x4 DRAM, CAS latency 3, and 4 Layer Module Boards.
I figure is a bunch of FUD to get you to buy more expensive memory but it cant hurt to ask before i buy the stuff and find out it doesnt work.

Dumb Answer ... check your mobo's memory specs...no other answer is justified.

Sadly the motherboard manufacture's website and manual are about as usefull as your answer.
