You dont need to buy a S/PDIF cable... just use a video coaxial cable (usually yellow color) and it'll work perfectly fine... I have been using one for 2 years and never have a single problem...

But if u are still going to buy it, it looks exactly the same as a coaxial cable (u know, one of the red/white/yellow cables)...

spdif is just the digital format, not a physical one.

it can be carried by coaxial cable or optical.

Electrical SPDIF is a coaxial cable with RCA connectors at both end. I'd call it RCA cable.

It basically looks like the Red/White (or Red/Black) analog audio RCA pairs, but there is only one.

Opitcal SPDIF has these funny little squarish black plugs. I'd call it "optical" cable.

No. red/white/yellow are RCA cables. Coax is a single, usually black, cable with a solid inner wire core that sticks out on the end for you to attach.

I don't know what a s/pdif cable looks like.

Right which is exactly what an RCA cable is.

RCA is the type of connector. If you are thinking of Coaxial Cable as in what you use for your TV it has a different kind of connector (can't remember what it's called offhand).

But RCAs are coax as well.
