Question Dumb question but what is the two M.2 NVMe SSD Slots for in a NAS ?

It has 4 slots for normal hard drives too for data.

Is it for like cache or to speed up the nas ? If so how does that work?

This is a Synology nas btw.

If you're looking for facts, download the manual and find out. If you're looking for a guess, I'd say that a NAS's job is to store data and make it available over the network, and since M.2 drives can also store data, it seems reasonable to guess that it can store data on M.2 drives and make it available over the network 🙂
