If you fry the CPU, eat the loss like a man; don't send it back.

However, with even a small amount of knowledge, that should never happen.

first off, if you read up before hand, and you know what you are doing, its almost impossible to fry the cpu. its more likely to hurt other things first, like corrupt windows. as long as you dont go above 1.55v you should be fine. as a rule, when you overclock, it voids the warrantee on pretty much your entire computer. but, there really isnt any way for them to find out, unless there are like burn marks on the cpu. but, dont send it back. i would only do that if a company sold me a piece of sh!t and i hated them. which could happen with amd, but that is unlikely. anyway, i havent heard anything about the E6 chips being bad overclockers. most people can get any venice up to 2700. some higher.
 
If I was to OC the retail version and something was to happen to the cpu, does it void the warranty?

As long as there are no physical burning/discolorisation markes on the chip they won't know a thing.😉
