Dullard's College Football Week 10

I'll be working 80+ hours per week for as long as I can see. Thus I can't spend much time on this. Lots of upsets last week, my program didn't do too well (same goes for pretty much anyone's rankings). I perseonally think my program over-rates Arizona St and under-rates Wisconsin (although Wisconsin has made a slow and steady climb week after week).

Big movers up: California, Auburn, Texas, UCLA, Texas Tech
Big movers down: Miami FL, Texas A&M, Florida St, Purdue

Sciencewhiz, thanks for the link last week, I just saw it today, and maybe I'll get around to looking at it this weekend.

Well, Arizona St definetly has the best schedule of the 2 loss teams. Sagarin has them pretty high as well. I do find it suprising that Boise is ahead of Wisconsin.

As usual, all I can say is.....

Fear the Utah machine

NC, who they totally spanked, just put the hurt on Miami.

I'm predicting a #5 ranking for Utah when the BCS is released today.

yay. go bears. I agree with the Arizona St. overrated-ness.

I don't think any one loss team should be ranked ahead of Wisco or Auburn. Perhaps Utah, because Cal is really good, but they still have a loss.

There's a huge difference between USC and Cal and the rest of the teams.

you bet

ok has been pretty good, i have only watched em couple of times

the usc-cal game was 1 of the best college football games i have ever seen, and to be honest i think usc was really really lucky (and ofcourse great on defenes in the last series),

its only speculation but i think cal would beat wisconsin (not easily), not sure about auburn, since i have not seen them play all year, but i assume they are good because sec is a tough conference.

I see what you're saying, but Wisconsin and Auburn didn't have to play #1 USC.

And Auburn and Wisco don't have losses either. Auburn has played Tenn, LSU, plays UGA in a week, and has only one game to where they won by less than three touchdowns. I watched CAL vs. USC, and both are good if not great teams, but a loss is a loss. The rest of the Pac-10 is not comparable to the strength of the Big 10 or SEC, IMO.

Its still in line with the BCS computers. Everyone overlooked the A&M loss because of the FSU and Miami upsets.

Guess I'll be advocating for Auburn now that my team is (rightfully) out of things. IMO if they win out they should be ranked #2 at the end of the season. The schedules of Wisc, Utah, and Boise just don't compare. They aren't as overrated as TCU was last year before losing to USM, but if they wanted a chance to be ranked higher they should have picked some tougher opponents for their out of conference games.

Why should Wisconsin be rated ahead of Utah?

Because the Big 10 is a real conference?

Why because Wisconsin bitch slapped the then #5 team in the country right after beating the #15 ranked team. Where as Utah only beat a then unranked A&M who went on to win 6 straight before losing to Baylor. If this happened in a "normal", ie: OSU not sucking, year Wisconsin would be in the top 3.

Thanks for the laugh. I always find it so funny when people brag that their team beat some team that isn't even ranked anymore. "But, but, but they were overranked when we played them, thus we must be good."

If your biggest opponent is CURRENTLY in the "others receiving votes category, then you haven't played anyone yet". Previous rankings are meaningless. Just like those Fresno State people bragging about beating Washington earlier in the year. Used-to-be-a-good-team is meaningless.

Conference. I think Utah might have a tougher non-conference schedule, but their Conference schedule can't compare, and the Big 10 is even having an off year.

Im not a Wisconsin fan, I am a humilated A&M fan. Uh, no I wouldnt say Purdue was over ranked when they played Wisconsin, but who the hell has Utah played? Uh, no one other than a team that loses to Baylor.
