I think its going to be a well matched game. How much do you think they will win by should also be posted.

Coaching . . . definitely Duke although Prosser is certainly no slouch.
Guard play . . . slight edge Duke.
Post play . . . Wake . . . offensively and defensively superior to soft Dookies.
Offense . . . Wake . . . Duke will live and die by the 3-pointer while WFU actually shows balance.
Defense . . . push . . . I think Duke will do better at ball denial out front but Wake is better in the post.
Final score . . . WFU 84 Duke 80

I don't think either one is great, per se but they have definitely played well together. I would say neither is in the top 5 nation-wide when it comes to talent but both coaches should be commended on their preparation/execution . . . and weak schedules thus far.
I guess I'll chime in from the ACC cellar(FSU fan). I think Wake will win... they will simply outplay Duke. The past few years Duke can't seem to pull together for a big game.
I'm surprised that Shavlik hasn't stepped up to the plate and showed his stuff yet. He can wait until after Sunday to show it though.

I think Shav has nothing to show. He is not a great physical talent but he's certainly honed his basketball skills. Dijon Thompson (UCLA) exposed Shav. Coach K has a stable of post talent and he sold Randolph on the prospect of being a 3 (small forward/swingman/wing). Dunleavy was a better athlete but lacked Shav's technical skill (particularly shooting) out of high school. The expectations that Shav (as a Frosh) could be anything close to Dunleavy was unrealistic.
Duke was 1-10 for 3-pts in the first half of the Georgetown game b/c G-town put the glove on them. They were better in the second half but that game was won b/c the refs bought Duke flops in the post. If Sweeney had played the whole 2nd half Duke would not be undefeated.

When has Duke not been ready for a big game during the last 2 years. They did win the National Championship in 2001 and that is the biggest game of all for college. Also, what about when they came back against Maryland in 2001 after being down by 10 points with less than a minute to go? Coach K will always have his team ready for the big games. How can one of the best coaches in the NCAA not have is team ready? Duke is a very young team right now and the freshman are still getting in sink with things and they will only get better with time. Duke definatley struggles with big guys in the paint as they did last night against Georgetown. If the shots are not falling for Duke they will have a tough time with Wake Forest and the game will be close, but if the shots are falling Duke will win.
Yes but the shots fall if you can shoot. Duke is not a great shooting team. Easy baskets off defensive pressure and gaudy offensive performances against lower tier teams are the only reason Duke hasn't lost. Duke isn't just young . . . they have less talent than any Duke team since before the Battier and Brand class.

The Maryland comeback... although impressive... was a present from Maryland. And I never said Duke never gets up for big games... its just that Duke doesn't always play with heart. They are by far the most talented and well-coached team in the country. They just seem to get lazy with their play sometimes. How can one of the best coaches in the NCAA not have his team ready? Why don't you ask FSU... they seemed to have found the answer last year.
Duke won the title because Maryland had an "off night" when they played North Carolina State. If State hadn't beat Maryland, Duke would not be reigning as the champ....Maryland would.

Our freshman class has turned out better than anyone expected. This year, Duke is nowhere near as explosive as in years past.
And BBD, don't count on us losing to UNC. You guys aren't much better than last year.

Oh, he speaks from JCrew U! We are MUCH better than last year . . . almost impossible to get worse. Without May, indeed WFU isn't going to eat our lunch with a bunch of players we didn't want. But Doherty (clearly the worst coach in UNC history) has at least a clue about our abundant weaknesses. We are going to launch at least 30 threes. If the rims are soft and the moon is at apogee we are going to beat you guys down . . . 9 times out of 10 we're probably going to lose.
We've done more with less than Carolina could ever dream of. With the talent you guys have had over the years, you should have lots more national championships. Coaching is what holds you back. And I'm sure UNC would love to have either Williams or Gray.
There will never be another Dean Smith...I can say that and I hate Carolina...not as much as I hate Duke though.
