Duke Nukem Forever in production?

They've said they've been working on it all this time, only time you'll really know is if/ when it comes out 😛

We have managed to propose, get budget approval, design, build and launch two probes to the planet Mars in the same time this game has been developed.

Id "when it's finished" software has also developed Quake II, III, IV in the same amount of time.

it's not vaporware at all, they have just made some really bad decisions in the project, they have changed engines a number of times - 3 I believe, and I'm pretty sure they are actually using their own engine now?

I do think we'll see this game at the end of the year, and as long as they keep the same 'attitude' the first one had, I'm guessing it will do well.

George Broussard - "All the guns are finished. Most of the creatures are finished...we're just basically pulling it all together and trying to make it fun."

Wait, it's not fun?... Surely you _start_ with fun and make monster models later...

That sounds like most kiddie mods, to me.

Okay, we have 4 level designers, 53 modellers, 6 skinners, 7 web masters, and 14 producers. We're all done and the game is almost ready- we just need a coder to pull this stuff together

How does a company even stay in business taking that long to make a game?

That's what I'm wondering. You can only blow so much money on booze and hookers before your profits from your 10 year old games finally start to dry up...😕

😛

I've decided to boycott this game, even if it does finally get released. Too much nonsense to me

They have released other games during that time and were paid >$30million for the Max Payne license. Money hasn't been a problem for them.
