I don't know how a person can live like that down South here in the summer. It is in the 90s this week and it will get hotter soon (in the 100s plus the humidity).

Considered this once. It's not worth it to me. I can imagine this is a bit of a PITA if you frequently wake up in the night and need to take a shit or piss (Unless you like peeing anywhere and looking like some cracked out bum). I would do this if I wasn't married. Live in a van or super cheap dump until I could pay cash for a piece of land and have a home built on it. 5 acres minimum.

If my university wasn't in some shithole city where I'd get looted by a bum, I'd buy a used RV on craiglist for around $8k with the government subsidized student loans and park it on the street. Then after I graduate, I can probably sell it for around the same price. Since the loans were government subsidized, I wouldn't have accrued interest with it either.
