What is interesting reading the article since Josh's (oldest Son) wife is pregnant the latest kid will be younger than grandchild that they are about to have. My hats off to them that they can do all of this without government assistance and live debt free. They even home school all there children.

What sucks about it is that none of those kids have ever been out of bible belt USA.

This post from the other thread got me thinking...

Good thing God wasn't a Duggar, or else we'd have the holy....I don't know, how many babies could God have with Mary? Would he have stopped there?

We'd probably have one personal savior for every person on the planet. And every dog. And every cat. Hell, I think every mosquito would have its own personal savior, and every woman would be pregnant virtually non-stop, with little Godlets running all over the damn place screaming, "You're not my real father!".

Someone needs to explain to these people that the earth has enough population. They can stop now. We're good.

The US is barely reproducing at replacement level.

This is a good thing. People need to realize that it's not our goal to breed until the Earth can't support any more people.

How does he afford to support all these kids?

Works hard. He and his family are the epitome of the American dream.

That's a fucking nightmare if you ask me.

The Duggar's receive indirect government support. They were able to get their house declared as a church. This helps dodge some taxes. Plus, I'm sure they are counting their kids as tax deductions, so indirectly we are all supporting them (although they are just working within the US tax code).

More power to 'em, but I feel for the other kids. They're the ones that probably end up raising these kids and doing all the heavy lifting. I'd be extremely resentful if I was put in charge of helping to raise all of my brothers/sisters while my mother pops out kids left and right. How do you have time to be a normal kid? How do you have time to interact with friends other than your brothers/sisters?

did you read the article?

The older children help raise the younger ones under a buddy system.

Fuck that. Your job shouldn't be to help raise your siblings, that's your parents jobs. Your job is to give them hell, horse around with them -- you know, be a brother/sister, not a third parent.

You think that doesn't happen? This family operates better than most and not everyone is as selfish and self centered as you.

Good for them raising a litter of home-schooled, conservative drones. We need more of these family factories in the US.

As conservative Christians, they decided after that to let God decide how many children they would have.

I bet God is yelling from the clouds for them to PRACTICE BIRTH CONTROL but they must have the volume on their burning bush turned down.

Fail.

If they are letting God decide how many they are having, then I don't think he's telling them to stop if they are still having kids 😉

Actually, his silence on the matter (and all others) is deafening.

Their house is tax exempt? You've got to be fucking kidding me. Her pussy should be condemned.

That should be the main point!!!

I have a lot of friends that are resentful for being left in charge with raising their younger siblings while their parents did other things.

I think that's how they got into this predicament 😉

Cheers,
Aquaman

WTF? Declared as a church? Do you have anymore info on this because that sounds ridiculous.

Call me selfish and self-centered, but if the parents didn't have so many damn children, they wouldn't have to rely on their other children to do THEIR parental work. THAT is selfish. To put off your parental duties on your other kids so you can have more kids. It's a cycle that keeps repeating itself.

If it works for them fine -- doesn't mean that everyone else is going to agree or should agree with their decisions.

Or are we not allowed to have opinions around here anymore? 🙂

So let me get this straight. They plaster their kids and their lives all over TV. Make TV appearances left and right talking about how they've having yet another kid, yet I can't speak my mind on what they have presented TO THE WHOLE COUNTRY by crowding the airwaves?

If they didn't want people saying things about them, maybe they should shut the *&^@ and stop being such media whores.
