11/03 UPDATE:

The orange shirts have arrived! And I must say, they look (and feel) really good 🙂 The quality is higher (American Apparel, 100% cotton) and the print came out well - looks very professional, with smooth vinyl for the black crab. I opened up my shirt bag and took a pic:

The sparkle is from the flash of my camera. The shirt in the pic is XL. The text version of the shirt came out just as well.

I'm accepting payment for the orange shirts now. $20 including PayPal fees and shipping. If you already paid, you do not need to send any additional money. If your name is on the list for an orange shirt, and you haven't paid yet, please do so now. My PayPal is techknight@mail.com. If you plan on paying by check, please send me a PM and your address.

The shirts came in a box, and each one is individually packaged in a sealed, clear plastic bag. The quality of the shirt and printing seems to be pretty good.

The cost, including shipping (USPS First Class), is $15 per shirt, regardless of size. If you live in Canada, the price for shipping will be a little higher, so please PM me with your postal code for a quote. I will only be ordering the orange shirts (and additional black shirts) October 3rd, so if you would like one, let me know now and I will add you to the list. The orange shirts might cost a little more; I'll check the pricing and update this post and thread when I do.

Payment Options: I prefer PayPal (techknight@mail.com). Checks, money orders and even cash (just fold a paper over it in envelope to obscure it, so those greedy post office people don't steal it 😀) are fine. Please notify me by Sunday if you plan on paying by anything other than PayPal, so I can respond with my mailing address, and let me know when I can expect to receive payment. I would like to receive all payments before Wednesday, so I have enough money on hand to order the next batch. Please add a note to you payment as to what your username is, or send PM me with your name after you send payment.

Anyways crab fishing was kind of exciting actually once you do it. We had a blast and played poker that night in his cabin. Saturday rolled around and things looked good. We were hauling in crabs like you wouldn't believe. However, there was a terrible storm that night while we were out on the water. Waves crashing on the ship. Doug was pulling up the net to save the crabs we had picked up. Apparently they sell at really high prices. Anyways as he was pulling the net up, a huge wave crashed over the top of our boat, causing Doug to go overboard. I found rope and tied it to the ship, then grabbing the other end jumped in and tried to save him. I was able to get him back onto the ship, but it was too late. Doug had drowned and was dead. I watched my friend die. That was on July 7th, 2007. This shirt is my little tribute to him.

Girl: Oh my GOD you poor thing. No wonder you don't like telling people about it. Is there anything I can do?

While silk boxers with Dug777's avatar on it might seem like a good idea, having a crab symbol covering your junk sends out the wrong signal.

We need to get someone in here that knows someone in the movie or TV industry, I would bet my life if these got on TV or something give them to some hot celeb to wear it, they would sell like hotcakes. The shirts are VERY cool IMHO.

I posted actual pics of the text and no text versions of the T-shirt. The designs themselves are in the old thread. I added a link back to the first page of AgaBoogaBoo's thread, and the links to all 4 versions are right there. If anyone wants the backstory, including YOyoYOhowsDAjello's art class that inspired the whole thing, you can backtrack through the past 2 threads.

The look is (mostly) intentional. You can compare it to the pre-production design. I think that the shirts came out a little darker than the original design (or maybe it's just my high contrast settings on my CRT?), but it's not that far off, and it fits well with the motif, I think. It's definitely better quality than CafePress, though, and for the orange shirts I might use PrintMojo or another higher quality screen printer since VistaPrint is more limited in color/size options.

Yes. If you specifically request it, I will do my best to get the size. I know for certain that VistaPrint (for the black shirts) has up to XXL, and I am looking to see if the other T-shirt printing companies offer that size and larger.
