It's on sale this week at best buy. Seeing it in the ad peaked my interest in knowing the ending. I remember seeing up to the point where the main character's car craps out, becaue he didn;t change a part that the gas station guy said he should change. Then I fell alseep. BOTH times I caught it on tv (late night)

thanks in advance

All I know is that I heard that movie is "Jaws" only with vehicles. So, based on that information, im going to go with the tractor-trailer exploding at the end.

Dennis Weaver tricks the truck driver into driving off a cliff. The movie is great, don't knock it till you've seen it. It was a made-for-tv movie directed by a (then) little known guy named Steven Spielberg.

that was an awesome movie, I saw it a while ago, and I'm still a little skeptical driving around with big logging trucks around.. heh

Great movie, pretty much a psychological thriller (and as I read later, an allusion to gender roles) where you never actually figure out the identity of the truck driver.

i always wondered what that guy did to have a truck chase him around trying to run him over, didnt he just get gas at some gas station and then the maniac started chasing him?

no, he cut the truck driver off.

I enjoyed the movie. In one of the bonus pieces on the dvd spielberg talks about how you can see him in some of the shots. Kind of funny 🙂

The driver of the Plymouth Valiant takes his briefcase,
and jams it on the throttle,with the car facing the truck,
then he puts the car in drive,while he jumps/runs away from the Valiant;
The car goes headon into the truck,the truckdriver drives over a cliff,and we see the truck Crash.

At the end,the fan on the dash,and a tire or 2 on the truck are still moving,as dirt falls down the hill/cliff.

{ I always wondered how the man got home! 😉}

I saw the made for TV Movie on the Color TV in my parents living room,i started watching it
on the 13inch black and white in my room,LOL.
I remember going downstairs,and asking if I can turn on the Big TV,to watch this neat movie,
with Dennis Weaver,and my parents and I watched it together.

Watchout for the schoolbus,and the snakes!!

I give the movie 4 out of 5 stars!! **** 🙂

I noticed this a couple years ago when I watched it on TNT. I saw Spielberg in the reflection of the phone booth glass.
