Does my explaination above, clarify this. I havent read anything about the procedure and am just interpreting the finding on CXR. I am sure there is more to it, but I think totally removing the heart would lead to leak problems.

This pretty amazing stuff, who knows how long it will last but at least he gets some more time.

Over time, I see organs grown from the patient's stem cells outside the body to be a more viable solution over a mechanical one. Both are pretty amazing, science ftw.
