Just thought about this... I use WD-40 to clean my guns after firing them.

That's damn manly!

But in the same token, I read this from a reporter that was with the 39th Brigade over in Bahgdad. Linky.

Underneath one of the trucks, soldiers with Bravo Support worked on a brake line that was pierced months ago by shrapnel.

That trailer couldn?t move until it was fixed.

?The air hose was broken, so we took rubber hose and duct tape,? said Spc. James Mack III of Bee Branch. ?Duct tape fixes everything.?

Fixing a truck damaged by shrapnel is damn manlier.

guys, technically, it was called duck tape before it became duct tape. So duck tape is really completely acceptable.

I prefer gaffer's tape myself. leaves no residue.

Duck is a brand..

But I guess I don't know the whole story. So are you saying this (tape?) company, came up with some tape, named it after itself.. and it got used a lot to seal ducts?

lol

It seems more likely to me that it was just Duck brand duct tape, and everybody came to use the terms interchangably.

Bump for sharkeeper's squeak from hell.

Good lord! I played that back with cans on at 0dB on the knob. Holy cripes on toast that could wake the dead!

It really wasn't too loud when it was recorded. It's amazing what gain does. 🙂

Duct tape!

wd40 can not hold on a bumper. it can not mend fine china. it can not keep a child's mouth shut. it can not hold a cat toa dog's back. the list goes on and on....
