I saw duck, duck, rabbit, lizard

I came back to the thread to figure out the purpose, and realized what they are. I get rabbit before duck on the last one, but it still looks like a lizard.

Lizard? wtf

I think the general shape reminded me of the Patagonia? lizard :^D

Why is it that our brain flip flops between seeing it as either a rabbit or a duck, rather than seeing it as both at the same time?

Because the brain likes things organized in images it recognizes, It can't recognize one without canceling out the other since they share the same lines.

Learned all about it in a class on perspective and how to make optical illusions in art.

This illusion is my favorite.

Square A and B are the same color.

I only saw Ducks for the first two, thought about the thread for a moment and... 😕 no way someone can't figure out the difference.
And then it dawned on me! :light:

They're those trick drawrings! 😎

First two, takes someone imagining a bunny in quite a strange position to see the bunny.
Third one... unless you go with duck lying on its back (ducks don't do this!), then it's a bunny
Fourth.... well, it's a little rubber ducky! Again, strange position to visualize a bunny in.

But... of course FBB just wet his pants over those hot sexy bunny action shots. 😱 That's all he sees. 😉

I thought you were going to ask which one we prefered to eat. That'd be a tough choice for me...

I was also expecting a taste test. 🙂 For me that's easy though. Duck is one of my favorite dishes, especially Peking Duck.

I thought this was going to be a food thread. 🙁

Duck beats rabbit.

Duck > Rabbit. Roast duck is yummy!

hmm...you guys need to come to a few restaurants here. A little panéed rabbit, rabbit fricasse, rabbit and andouille gumbo, rabbit and white beans, rabbit and dumplings, or rabbit sauce piquant and your decision might not be as cut-and-dried. Although the best rabbit I ever had was the ones my grandfather would shoot early in the morning when they were munching on his vegetable garden then simply stewed all day and served over white rice. No matter how long he stewed em, I'd always be spitting out shot when we ate, though. 🙂

Like I said though...tough decision. I have many, many favorite duck dishes, but I don't think rabbit gets a fair shake from most people!
