There would be less acually..

The clutch dust would normaly just build up in there.

Do your brakes stop working when they get wet.

I made all the same points at the dealer they said it was not a problem.

Most everyone who race these do this to keep the clutch dust down and also to run the clutch cooler.

My race pads do lose a significant amount of effectiveness in the wet, yes. Most street pads don't, but they also don't grip nearly as well in the dry. Of course, you probably also upgraded the clamping pressure when you did this, so that might not be an issue.

I just cant stop imagining someone riding down the street and their pants / laces (if they arent wearing proper riding boots - which so many dont) gets caught in the rotating assembly and their clothes get torn off....

Nice bike, but I always think the Duc clutches sound like something is fooked. I used to know a guy with a Monster and at idle it's all I could hear! At full chat it was a much different story!
