Well, I pre-ordered it on eBay and I got it yesterday. Thing is amazing.
I got the white controller, only because it was the only ones left in the eBay store I bought from (egamestar, aka japanvideogames.com). Very reasonable price, total was $65. So $15 markup (includes shipping, markup was only about $5 total, so $10 shipping), very reasonable for an import. The things are going for $75 before shipping now! :Q
as far as the controller itself, very good. Of course, rumble should have been in it from the first place, but the rumble isn't what I am referring to. The build quality is top-notch, absolutely destroys the flimsy piece of crap that was the SixAxis. This thing is sturdy, and the buttons have even been made just a SLIGHT bit better, all over the controller. Barely noticeable, but in some instances you can definitely tell it was improved upon. This is what should have been launched with the console, but given that it wasn't, I am still very happy and it was a good purchase.
Will probably get another one, in black, when they launch in the US. But now I have 3 controllers: 2 SixAxis, 1 DualShock 3/SixAxis.
What's funny, is I have never owned one single electronic that did not have the FCC loco on it somewhere: this controller does not have that (obviously, FCC does not exist in Japan.). None of the logos are the same. Something that amuses me, that's all.
