i think most of those cheap sellers on Amazon and eBay ship from China. they take forever. i purchased a charger from hong kong and took over a month to get here

If you look at "More Buying Choices" or the "n New from $x.xx" links, you can usually find a us based shipper that sells for slightly higher but has a 2-5 day shipping window instead of 15-45.

Higher output is nice, but we have a Nook tablet and from what I have read it won't work with any of the aftermarket chargers because it uses the USB connections in a non standard fashion to split the charging current.

Unless one of these adapters specifically claims higher output charger for the device you have, I wouldn't count on it working.
