I'm trying to keep from becoming a lifer for as long as possible, as a result you may see more dual-threads from me.

Topic 1: I was just watching the women's world cup game against Korea. Surprisingly I was entertained. Even more surprisingly I think I liked it better than the Men's soccer. This goes against everything I've ever known. Men's sports are ALWAYS superior, right? Well not in this case. You see, most of them women are good looking. So that's a plus. More importantly though, they didn't roll around the ground like a bunch of whiny bitches (like mens soccer) so there was a much better flow to the game and a lot less annoyances. Overall, it was just a lot more enjoyable. Who woulda thought? Good win too.

Topic 2: I am going to be switching careers, hopefully sooner rather than later. I finally got an interview at one of the places I'd applied at. Most of this companies communication with me has been done via email. They scheduled me for an interview on July 5th, in the morning. Generally not a big deal. I told them I am free most mornings anyway. Oddly enough though, this morning just so happens to be the morning I am getting recognized by my company for being one of the top 5 in sales for our area. (They do a monthly breakfast, 5 people of about 150 get 'recognized' its all BS really). This will be the 4th consecutive month I've won. It's really a waste of time, but the not going isn't really a good option... or is it? You see, this particular day is a pain in the ass to begin with. First of all, we are being 'rewarded' by having to be at work 2 hours earlier than normal the day after the 4th of July. Secondly, this particular day just happens to be a physical inventory day for us. Ordinarily we do this approximately 2 hours prior to opening. When we contacted the person in charge of the breakfast to inform him that it was a bad day to have the breakfast, he informed us to do physical inventory the night before (aka July 4th after we close at 9pm). So instead of enjoying the 4th of July with family, we get to do physical inventory... all because we are being rewarded. Well, fuck that I say. I may just skip the breakfast and go interview for my new job! What do you think?!?

Bonus topic: Attire for the interview is business dress. Shirt and tie... and suit? Or just shirt and tie? Also, does it make a difference being in Florida... (super hot out). I'm thinking full on suit.... Thoughts? I know, one step above what the typical work attire is. That means I have to go scout this place before I interview though! 😛

The skill, pace of play and intensity doesn't match the men's teams, but I do enjoy watching the games anyway. Too bad espn3.com took a dump today. 🙁

Man, two threads in one and I only got one response. Good thing I went the dual route, or I may have not even got a view!

Topic 1: It is inferior. Men's sports are superior, but not at all easy on the eyes. That's not unique to soccer.

Topic 2: Yes, interview for the new job.

Bonus topic: If you're going to wear a tie, wear a suit.

Stuck in airport, had to watch the game. I guess it's fun to watch girls chasing balls but most of them don't know what to do with it once they got it.
