Asus AMD 762 Chipset ATX Motherboard Model A7M266D-OEM at newegg refurbished.

Good point about this MB is that you can use ordinary DDRAM as well as ECC DDRAM.

Bad point is weird BIOS with no option of ordering boot, you can only disable steps.

Can you use the Morgan Durons in this one?

If so it would make a really cheap dually.

I doubt that. I think it takes only MP. Coincidentally newegg has refurbished MP 1500. Put two of those and this board smokes any Intell double socket. Processors+board+fans is only about $420-430. That's a cost of one Pentium 2.2. Laughable, is it?

I heard about that trick too for modifying the morgan/xp chips to be recognized as mp. they also mention it's a bit unstable, too. might not be worth the headache.

Some xp's don't need to be modified at all. I have this same board, with two xp1800's. No problems whatsoever. I would however be careful buying a refurbished motherboard though. They had the tyan tigers a while back, and i've heard nothing but trouble with those.

Yeah I bought one of the tiger refurbs, some hardware hacker halfwit destroyed the northbridge with that Godawefull artic silver. Made for some interesting errors till a friend and I popped the HS off, yuck. Definitely a lemon, just shipped it out today. I would advise caution and the knowlege that you will most likely need to send it back. newegg refurbs have been no less than a nightmare for me. my 0.02

Well, I have one unpleasant experience with Ubid time ago but I guess everybody has his own story.
$100 for MP 1600 retail sounds just fantastic. I'll start checking there again.
