Looks like hell with a giant black bar through the middle of the picture and everyone's heads cut off.

I'd rather stay with 1 widescreen projector :p

I'd rather keep my money in my wallet :p

I'd rather have an ancient 15" CRT on its last legs.

Oh, wait. Thats what I DO have, not what I'd rather have.

Do you have a beige computer with a beige keyboard and ball mouse? :p

black bars on sides or top/bottom...no problem.
GIANT BLACK BAR OF DOOM running through middle of hideously stretched picture...not so good.

Ok then, as long as we're all on the same page here.

Oh, and dual 24" ones doesn't impress me either... what's the point of that? Watch two widescreen movies at once?

Just this weekend I had about 20 people watching a movie on my projector and it was very entertaining. I'd like to see somebody try that with a monitor. They might be good for 1 person, but even two and you're kind of pushing it.

The main point is the increased resolution. NO projector unless your talking SERIOUS $100k+ will come close to matching even a single 1920x1200 res of the 23-24" LCD's. Let alone having 2 of them!

I have a 23" widescreen and it is great for the real estate in work and when watching movies on it. It would be great to have another 23" along side it but pricey!

Projector > * for movies in a decent light controlled room. Just gives a much bette screen size.

I've got a laptop with a 15" 1600x1200 screen, and I use that for the majority of my stuff. I'm not tied to a desk, and it's perfectly comfortable looking at it. Hell, I might even be getting a 15.4" widescreen @ 1920x1200 within the next couple of months.

I've also got a Shuttle with an old 19" CRT which i use for gaming/movies...I'm replacing that with a projector in a few months time...in my current room (given that my room is about 7ft wide) i've had an 77" display on one of the walls - I'm moving house in a couple of months and am going to have a 13ft long room, so I should be able to get a 100" image without any hassle.

Projector + high-res laptop > *
