I run dual Dell 19" monitors.

I don't like them because they dont have the gloss coat on them, and the colors arnt as bright as I'd like.
I'm planning on switching them, and finally there are 2 good deals up for grabs.
I'd like to know which of these 2 monitors you guys think I should run dual.

First up is http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16824009094
It's for sale for $180 AR at Tigerdirect. It's a 22" and is massive, also it's a wide screen. 5ms response

Second up is http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16824009105 It's a 20" but looks much slick, but it's an 8ms response time.

My main concern is I dont know how wide dual 22" monitors would be side by side... running my dual 19" 's is a good size, but I mean I can use bigger.

Anyways, I'd just like to hear opinions on what you people think about the 2 monitors, and pros and cons of each, and their size etc.
thanks

lol well that's incorrect, the measurement is a diagonal.
Anyways, I didnt mean exactly how wide it is, rather I meant how comfortable/easy it would be to use (that's alot of real estate!)

You haven't said which apps you use with your current 2 monitor set-up, but two cheap 22" widescreens doesn't make much sense: one larger widescreen would probably be just as good for most users.

If you insist on two screens, then two (admittedly more expensive) rotatable widescreens would give you the best side-by-side solution. Two (reasonably priced) 20" standard 4:3 (1600x1200) LCDs would be a good direct replacement for your 19" setup.

they're dual Dell E196FP 's. Close Vogel, yours are better IMO.

Betasub - I'm a webmaster and thus usually have many chat windows with programmers and employees in 1 screen, and the other screen I'll have multiple firefoxs, IE's, FTP client, phpedit, etc running.

So I'd really need dual screens rather that 1 big one, that way I can separate things more easily.
