I've got the Asus PC-DL dual xeon motherboard, and I've got two Intel Xeon 3.06 GHz CPUs waiting for it. The CPUs are the same, but the sSpec Numbers are SL6GH and SL6VP.
Are these fine to use for dual processing? If so, will I notice anything different comparred to having two processors with the same core stepping?
I'm going to be rendering 3D animations, as well as using photoshop, illustrator, flash, director, word, the internet, video capture, and quite a few things, often at the same time.
Is anything going to be different under the bios setup, or will I need to change anything once they've been installed?
Finally, will I get any errors (that you know of) in any programs that take advantage of the dual processors if I use two with two different core steppings?
