I have p35 board with dual pci-e for crossfire. My current setup has one HD4670 with 1 DVI monitor and 1 HDMI to HDTV.

I'd like to add another video card to hook up 2 more monitors, can I add another pci-e card (different model) or is pci card only option?

Since you have a second PCIe slot, you can add another regular video card. If you're on Vista however, bear in mind that you can't use dissimilar drivers, so it would need to be another ATI card.

(At some point some pedantic is going to come in here noting that the P35 only has enough lanes for x8 operation. For a card of that speed grade, it's not going to make a difference)

P45 is 8X+8X for CF; p35 is 16x+4x PCIe lanes; but as you said, it is Moot
- a second suitable ATi card should allow the OP to do what he wants
