Dual OS issue....

Cynicism

Senior member
I have 98 on C:, XP on E:, C and E are the same physical drive. Is there anyway to get rid of XP with just a format of E:? Does the choice on startup to choose OS' then disappear?

to completely remove winXp you must format E: and delete 5 or so files from c:\
then you boot up using a win98 boot disk and type "sys c:"

something like that

the ansnwer should be archived, use the search feature
