Dual Operating Systems and Installed Software

If its somewhere in the forums and I'm asking it again, forgive me, search button didn't appreciate my phrasing of the search.

My question is, is there any way to.. export/import registry keys so I don't have to install a program twice?

I've been running windows vista, but I'm sick of the driver errors it keeps giving me, and I've given up trying to find a fix. So instead, I want to just have Vista on one drive, XP on another. I've done this before, but the problem I run into is that I cannot use programs I had installed while running vista, while I am on XP.

Thoughts on how to avoid having to reinstall everything?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry but I have found out from many installs that the best way to make sure all runs smooth and cool is to re-install everything again. By doing a hack on the size that you are talking about, you will have very good odds of something not working and end up spending many many hours trying to trouble shoot it. It is just quicker and less head problems to re install everything. But good luck.
