Dual Monitors?

I have recently got a new video card, Gainward GeForce 2 mx, and I was thinking it would be cool if i had a dual monitor setup. My old card is a POS matrox mystique. What are the advantages of dual monitors, would i be able to extend desktop, true double task, etc?

One more, how would i hook up my PC to a TV. The matrox card has a DVI port such as the one on the GeForce 4 Ti series.

The advantages of dual monitors is pretty obvious:

Run apps on both screens.

Right now at home I have dual monitors set up. I run AIM, Winamp, & Adobe control boxes on the secondary, & my applications on the primary. If i'm trying to follow instructions on a web page, I simply drag the IE window over to the other screen, maximize it, & continue on the main screen.

However...

When my GF3 arrives I'll be giving up the second monitor for now. If I decide I can't live without it I'll order a GF4.

I'm running a dual 19" CRT setup right now with a Gainward GF3 and a Visiontek GF2 MX200 under Win XP Pro. What really surprised me was how easy it was to set up...just put the GF2 in right next to the GF3, started the computer and as soon as Win XP popped up it installed the nVidia drivers for the new card and all I had to do was go to Display Properties and tell it to extend my desktop to the other monitor. Runs like a charm. It's nice having Visual Studio open in one monitor and having the other monitor for a wide variety of things...DVD movie, IE, another instance of Visual Studio...whatever you want!

i have a voodoo5 5000 and a geforce2gts with dual monitor setup on the one on the left i have my start bar, outlook, and all my im, on my right i have IE/visual studio (or whatever else im doing) up. both run at 1600x1200.
