I need to find out how to run dual monitors on Linux Mandrake. I need to know in the next hour or so if possible (at work and boss needs me to figure this out). I need it so that its an expanded desktop or if you don't know how to do that, just a setup where you can open "desktop 1" in one monitor and "desktop 2" in the other. I'm using a Matrox G400 dual monitor card so I already have that in the bag. Can someone please help me out here?!? Thanks! :D

Check out Matrox's site, they have a program that will help you set this up. Also you need XF86 4.x and xinerama.

Where can I get those nocmonkey? I'm new to the whole Linux thing, but if I can figure this out it would be great!

Look on freshmeat.net and matrox's website.

Can't find anything on this setup on the Matrox website. Could you post a link?

Maybe...if you can tell me why my mandrake box won't connect to the network! It's driving me insane!

So if eth0 does show up, give it an ip address

"man ifconfig" for specific info on how to do that, but it should be something close to:
"ifconfig eth0 10.10.10.10 255.255.255.0" (ifconfig network <interface> <ip> <subnet mask>).

Edit the startup files to give eth0 an ip address and make sure the module is loaded and all.

Err...I'm lost...Oh well...Thanks anyway. I thought I already added these into the startup files. But when it boots it fails when searching for the eth0 connection.
