Hey folks,

I have a Dell 2001FP that I use for gaming. I recently decided to add a second monitor to
view the internet while Im in game. I ended up going with a Mag LT717s as it was cheap, looked decent and fit where I need it to go. The native resolutions are different 1600x1200 vrs 1280x1024.
It works fine unless I game. It wont allow me to use my Dell at 1600x1200, and that sucks :).
Is there any way to fix this? Also Id like to be able to click between monitors , have a shortcut, as is the game needs to be in windowed mode to get to the other monitor. Ive tried to use invidias control panel to set up the shortvut key, but when I use the shortcut says I only have 1 monitor, go figure.

System
A64 x2 3800@2400
7800GT
2gig ocz el plat rev 2

thanks in advance to any help offered!

Best solution is to add a cheap, low end video card. I assume you don't have SLI so you would need a PCI video card to hook your second display too. Since your primary video card is nvidia you will want the second one to be as well for driver compatibility. A geforce 2 mx or equivilent would be perfect.

To be able to tab between a full screen game and another window, yeah dual video cards needed. Now your other problem sounds driver related, as nvidia supports different resolution monitors.
