dual monitor

can I play a game on one monitor, and watch my desktop on the other one ( I.E msn messenger or aim)

sorry If this question was asked before 🙂

You will have to minimise whatever game to switch to the other monitor, unless you can play it windowed. You not only lose that window being in focus, but you also lose time minimising and then maximising it again.

Yes.

Best done with turn based games though, taking time out of CS to answer somone on msn is a bad plan.

When I had two screens set up I was never able to get one to show anything when I played CS on the other.

Then again, I can't imagine trying to respond to an IM during a round of CS.

If you are going to set up dual monitors, try using a cool program called Ultramon. I use it with my current set up and it's great.
