I'm looking to purchase two ASUS VS24AH-P monitors. They are 1920x1200 IPS monitors that support DVI, HDMI, and D-Sub connections. Currently my video card is a Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDD5 which as per the manufacturer's website supports:
1 x HDMI (with 3D)
1 x Single-Link DVI-D
1 x DisplayPort 1.2
1 x Dual-Link DVI-I
I've been told that in order to take advantage of resolutions above 1080p (these monitors are 1200p), you need Dual Link DVI or DisplayPort (single link DVI and HDMI don't support 1200p). These monitors don't support DisplayPort, and my GFX Card only supports one Dual link DVI.
Can I run two of these monitors at full resolution (1200p), without having to purchase a new video card? Or should I look at getting different monitors that also supports DisplayPort?
