i only have switched display mode from digital to tv for watching dvd's.

if i change the selected display from 1 i lose the nview tab.

NOTE: GeForce2 Go and GeForce4 Go mobile processors are not supported in this driver. Please contact the notebook's manufacturer for graphics drivers for your notebook PC.

That's the message I get from the latest Driver download page from nVidia. Downloading new drivers for this makes me nervous. The point is, it should work without new drivers.

Yeah, when I select the primary display (the laptop display), and then go to Device Selection, it is locked on Digital, and Analog and TV are greyed out.

XP has been the best os from microsoft for me but last night i booted up and couldn't open any of my drives. i could defrag and chkdsk and run a virus scan but nothing else. had to ghost from a image to make it right. needless to say it was working fine the day before.

i would uninstall the driver and reinstall it with the one from dell.

I guess I am going to have to go for support if I want this to work. Thanks for your help.

Are you still having problems? I have a Dell Latitude something (it's brand new) and hooked up a second monitor without problems yesterday...although people have already gone into it, here were my steps:

Hooked up the second display (analog 15" LCD)
Booted the machine. While booting, the second screen showed a mirror image of the primary screen.
When I got into Windows, the second screen was blank. Went to display properties, and there were two screens shown (1 and 2).
I clicked on the graphic of monitor 2. There is a check box called "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor". I checked that, and hit apply. The second screen came on and was usable. I then had to adjust resolution, refresh, etc.

I never once had to go into the nVidia application to use the second monitor. If you are still having problems then maybe there is something wrong with the hardware, because it should just work (I know, I hate when people tell me that). Good luck!
