Dual Monitor Setup Using Onboard Video?

Here's the situation, i need to build a machine with dual monitor support for work, I need to know if i can use the onboard chipset video with a secondary pci video card to be able to achieve this. The chipsets im considering are KM266, SIS 730s, and 740. Or am i going to need to get two seperate video cards?

Thanks,

onboard video is usually self-disabling once another video card is detected, AFAIK

It *may* work. Onboard video is 99.9999% AGP. So, if the mobo has an AGP slot, and you add an AGP card, then the onboard video will be disable. If you use a PCI card instead, you *should* be in business.

FWIW, I have an i810-based Dell at work and have run dual displays with Matrox PCI card for nearly three years now. Search through the BIOS of the mobo to see what settings are available for "Primary video."
