Dual monitor setup- 1 HDMI and 1 VGA

I have a 1080p monitor powered by gtx 105ti
It might be weird but i have a 768p monitor laying around...
I want to add it cuz i frequently like changing music while gaming.
My question is can i run the 768p monitor through dvi with dvi to vga converter and 1080p with Hdmi?
Will it work? And what about tye settings?
Ill appreciate the help 🙂

It's probably work fine. I have a monitor with a DVI input and a GPU with HDMI out, so I connected an old ATI DVI<>HDMI adaptor to the plug on the monitor and used an HDMI cable to connect it to the PC.

might need an active (as opposed to passive) dvi to vga adapter, i thought nvidia dropped the analog bit from their dvi connector on the 10x0 series.

To do this properly the DVI output from your graphics card must be a "DVI-I" connection, which has analog data as well. As opposed to "DVI-D" which is just digital.

There may be other options, but I think they would cost about as much as finding an old DVI LCD monitor as your second...

GTX1050 doesn't have any analog VGA outputs. Have to use an (active) adapter, either from the DVI, or more likely, from the DisplayPort.
