I just picked up a EVGA 7900GS that was on sale at Fry's, and hooked it up to 2 monitors. This is the first time that I have been able to run dual monitors. I have been having some issues with it. When I look up video files on a networked computer, and the thumbnails appear, the screen flashes. Also, when I move a window around its not very smooth, kinda choppy. I only have these issues when running 2 monitors.
So I put in a ASUS 7200LE, that I have for another build, in the second PCI-E slot (I got a SLI motherboard), and ran the second monitor off it. That seemed to fix the problem. So then I tried running both monitors off just the 7200LE, and it worked perfectly. The only difference being that on the 7900GS both monitors where on DVI, and on the 7200LE one was on DVI and the other was on D-sub.
So then I tried my old cards (I use to have 2 6800XT's in SLI) and they both gave me BSOD's only when I tried to use them with 2 monitors.
I am very confused. Any help, advice, or thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
