Dual monitor problems

So i am currently running two ATI radeon HD 6970s in crossfire on my brand new computer. I am attempting to run a dual monitor setup, that was succesful on my last build, however after updating all of my video drivers, and reinstalling them, the second monitor is not showing up under dispalys. I have both monitors connected to one of the 6970s...i understand that with two monitors both monitors have to be plugged into a single gpu if in crossfire.

Anyways, if anyone has any bright ideas i would appreciate it.

Simple suggestion would be to flip the monitor connections to see if its just that one port that's bad or the cords.

Other suggestions, roll back to older drivers.
Uninstall drivers, driversweep, boot into safe mode and reinstall.
 
I pretty much gave all that a shot already. i also tested a different monitor to make sure the monitor wasn't bad.
