Dual Monitor on GeForce4 Ti 4200?

Hey All,

I just bought a new computer and was hoping to hook up dual monitors to it. I did a quick search on here but didn't see too much that would help me wiht this specific card. I dont' have any of the manuals for the card or anything so I dunno how I'd hook it up but the guy I bought it from said it has dual monitor support. There is a funky output that I'm not using on the video card as well as a TV out but it is a weird shape as well...how could I hook up another monitor?

ok, I did more searching and I guess that 'funky' port is a DVI port and I just need an adapter?

What else will I need to do when I plug in both monitors? I'm running Windows XP Pro...

It might have...I dunno, I bought the system used!! So is there anything you have to do other than just plug the monitor in? Is it a plug n' play deal or do I have to do some software tricks?

You have to activate the secondary monitor. (You need an adapter (dongle) to attach a regular monitor to the DVI out.

Then right click the desktop, select properties then settings. Click on the greyed out monitorand then check the box " Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor." There you go...............you are all set.

Do a Google for Ultramon. It's the best and only software for multimonitoring.

Have fun.
