Dual monitor in SLI mode?

Hi, I just setup my SLI 6600GT using the beta 80.x drivers as i'm using eVGA and XFX cards. If I disable SLI, my dual monitors work fine, but when SLI is kicked in, i lose one monitor. Is there any way to get the best of both worlds? It's a bit of a pain having to switch between the two. besides, while in-game, i like to see if anyone is IMing me.

Did you ever get an answer to your question.

From what I have found I believe I understand correctly that hooking your cards into sli mode makes one a slave to the other. The video output of one is now directed to the other card so each part of the image can be put together. That is why only one cards output is used?
