Dual Link DVI?

Ok my old system I have setup with a video card with 2 monitors. I am looking into getting a 7600gt with dual-link DVI. Can I run 2 monitors with that? Both of these are DVI LCD's but 1 is running via vga connector right now.
Is there a benifit for me with 2 dvi monitors? Can I get my lcd's to run games @ a good res spread across the 2 monitors? What are some tips/ Info that can help me out with this b4 my purchase?

dual link dvis are only necessary to run stuff at resolutions greater than 1600x1200.And most 7600 gt cards come with a dvi-vga adapter.So u should be able to run 2 monitors without any trouble.

I have 2 dvi monitors. So I guess you are saying that I can run either A) those 2 seperate via DVI. OR B) Run together @ a res higher than 1600x1200

The only real use for Dual link right now is the 30" Dell/Apple 2560x1600 monitor.

Nothing else can use it. You can't split it between monitors. It is for big monitors at high resolution.

Dual-link DVI is for one LARGE screen. Dual DVI connectors obviously are for TWO screens.

And no, there's no user's choice. If it's got one DVI plug, it'll run one screen; if it's got two, it'll run two. Each of these DVI plugs may have single- or dual-link.

Dual link DVI is for resolutions above 1920x1200 (excluding 2048x1536).

The only real uses for it is on the Dell 3007WFP, and the Apple Cinema 30" display which are 2560x1600 (these are two different monitors).
