Dual lan passthrough

Hi, so I have my cable modem connected near my main computer due to the house wiring and need a way to connect internet to the wireless router in another room.

What I need to know is if it is possible to plug the cable modem into my main computer, then send that signal out to the wan port of the wireless router through the dual lan on my main computer.

I'm running windows 7 RC and have been playing with the ICS options but to no avail.

Are you saying your house has 'in wall wiring' for your network? If so, Jacks suggestion really is the best. Get a cheap router, turn it into an access point, and even if you are plugging your computer into a wall jack, you can just stick the AP in between your computer and the wall jack and plug your computer into the AP.

If you're just running straight off the cable modem, you really should stick a router into the mix anyways.

Good luck!
