I really like the option of running two monitors out of one computer. But I also like high framerates and power. So is it possible to run a PCI matrox card that has dual monitor support AND an AGP card for high framerates? It would be incredible if I could.

well, you could run just a single AGP card and a single PCI card (doesn't need to be a dualhead pci card)

IF you ran an agp plus a dualhead pci card, you would effectively have THREE video cards.

What do you have already?

For the most part, as long as both video cards install allright, you simply go into display properties and choose "extend my desktop onto this screen" and away you go...dual monitors

PM me with anymore questions if they come up (i have run up to 3 monitors at once in the past)

yep, matrox is where i would put my money

you can get an old g200 or matrox mystique pretty cheap

else, a g400 or g450 single or dualhead should work great (that would allow you to add either one OR two more monitors in the future)

well, if ur gonna use a agp as ur main video card, it doesnt matter what card you get for the pci. just get the cheapest one that handles ur moniter. i have a very very old cirrus logic, and it works fine for me.

Um, well don't necessarily get the cheapest one you can find (like an old cirrus card or something), if you're using Windows XP. It's very heavy on the visual effects, and a more modern card makes a big difference.
