I just bought one... for those of us trying to get a dual (or in my case tri :>) monitor setup, this could be a quick and relatively cheap way to get there. It also has video in/out, but I have not been able to get that to work yet. The drivers install okay, but I cannot use this input as netmeeting video, and I have yet to try it with Premiere or something. edit Tried with Premiere, says "device is in use." So I haven't gotten the video in yet.

Msi Geforce4 MX 440 VTP (fixed link)

[Edit] bought it Thursday and received it Tuesday (They sent me UPS tracking #, that was a nice touch). After a little getting used to, nView is very nice. I still can't get video capture to work, and I have not tried TV out, but this card seems to be a pretty good deal for the price. Gaming is nothing out of this world, and I've had trouble getting openGL resolutions bigger than 1024x768 when twinview is enabled. HOwever, if you disable it before gaming, the problem goes away.

From what I've heard, the ATIs are dismal if you want to do any sort of gaming. However, the Radeon 8500 comes with DVI, so if you have an LCD that might come in handy. What I dislike is that if you want to get it for a decent price online, it is sold without the DVI -> CRT converter. Usually the stores will rip you off for $~15 for this, which you will probably need.

If you are planning on doing a lot of video editing, go with the ATIs; their video in/out features seem to be a lot more mature than NVidia's.
If you want to game a little, go with NVidia.

? Are u saying the the GF4mx beats the 8500??? I dun think so... ATI might have some driver issues... but they have released some drivers that are working great. GF4mx is just a souped up GF2 it ain't really good for gaming especially with all the new games coming out.... Get a real GF4 man. the ti 4200 shld be slight under 150... if gaming is what u want spend that little extra and get something good instead of the GF4mx = marketing ploy

I stand corrected, about the gaming. Go out and buy a real one. But if you want a dual head, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better for cheaper, except perhaps a used Matrox.
