dual dvi

i was thinking to get a dual dvi graphic card so i can have two monitors. that would be pretty sweet. but the only thing is, how does it work? how do i control whats on both screens. or are they just split in half, left monitor showing left half of screen and vice versa? like could i be playing a game on one screen while having windows shown on the other? because im thinking to change my video card to a dual dvi card. im just confused on the whole deal.

there are a few different modes. Mirror which it does the same thing as ur main monitor, extended desktop which you can use as another screen (1 game on 1 screen, 1 on another, 2 movies at once, 2 browsers at once). And widescreen which things will stretch to fill both screens (games, browsers, movies)

nah, i didnt get it just yet. im workin on it 😉

question tho. would this heat up my video card a lot more since ill be having two monitors running on the card? i would assume it does.

It will not have any noticeable impact as far as heat is concerned.
