Dual dvi graphics card for two monitors (non-gaming)

Hi guys,

I currently have 2 identical (1920x1080) monitors that I want to connect to my pc for a dual screen setup. Im currently using the integrated graphics that come with the i5 2500k (Intel HD 3000), which supports two monitor setups but only DVI + VGA and not DVI + HDMI - you cant have two digital connections basically. This means that when I connect with DVI + VGA, the VGA monitor looks less vibrant, and it seems like the whole system becomes less stable when I connect the two monitors (I assume because of Intel's crappy drivers). It does work ok but ideally I would like them both connected via DVI (for two digital connections).

I dont game on this pc, but I would like a graphics card that will be stable, run quietly, and be compatible with my Corsair 430W psu, and of course will run two monitors without any problems.

My motherboard is a P8H67-M PRO with 1 PCI-E x16, 1 PCI-E x4, and 2 PCI slots.

Im from the UK but if you can point me in the direction of a card that would be great (I have a budget of up to about £100 ($160).

Thanks

I grabbed a cheap-o Nvidia Quadro from ebay but they can also be found on the forums. Runs both of my screens with two DVI easily.

Hi thanks for your inputs,

Yes it seems the card I was looking at is overkill for my needs. I'm interested in the low-profile GeForce 210 throckmorton suggested, but it doesn't support dual dvi which is what I wanted really. I wanted to keep the HDMI ports on my monitors free so that I can connect my 360 (which is always connected to one of them) and then have a HDMI port on the other monitor spare in case I need to connect another HDMI compliant device. Are there no dual-dvi supported graphics cards at this price range that would fit my needs?

With regard to what store I can buy from, I live very close to Scan, so I can buy from them or Amazon/Play/ebuyer.com (and other UK retailers but not overclockers because of their record of not honouring warrenties).

Thanks again

What about getting a HDMI to DVI adapter? Other than that, you could get a Geforce 9500GT (dual-DVI ones aren't as cheap as they aught to be, IMO), or used Quadro.

Look at Geforce GT 430 and 440 cards, as well. Quite a few are coming with 2xDVI + HDMI (I think Fermi is still limited to only using 2 at a time).

I would often recommend old Quadros, but the product cycles tended to be so slow that many of the cheaper used ones don't support 1080p, so you'd have to be fairly careful.
