Via eBay you lose about $1000 on both systems to keep the monitors. I guess it depends on if you want a bit of a discount on two monitors.

Dell basically jack up the price of the system and add the dual monitors on the deal to make it looks good. Not very hot to make. For those who consider this deal, make sure you factor in the tax (if applicable) and the higher ebay fees.

For most a Dimension 8400 is just as fast, can often be had for under $800 and 2x20"LCDs can often be found for 2x$600. If otoh you must have 2 processors this sounds like a great deal.

This is not that bad of a deal considering you are gettiing dual Xeons and 1gb of memory. I configured the same system without the LCD's and it came to 2100. Two 20 inchers for 500 is not bad at all... If I hadn't bought an Alienware last year, I'd be all over this like a dog in heat.

So, they basically charge for the two monitors, but they say they are free.
Wow, that is way too much money for that tower.

I just built a dual xeon system. using 2.8ghz CPU's clocked @ 3.5ghz watercooled. and a single 300 gig drive. 1 gig memory,9800 pro, Just the parts cost me $1750, Dual Xeons arent cheap if that's what your looking for, expecially starting out with 3.2ghz ones.

My systems busts over 20k in sisoft's cpu test.
