dual-ddr (ddrII?) motherboards

When will they be released and how much are they expected to cost?

I would imagine wait for some reviews before buying it too, instead of jumping in with both feet 🙂

n-Force and n-Force II are both Dual-DDR solutions. They give slight performance gains when using two banks of memory.

As far as I know, there are no DDRII motherboards yet on the horizon.

Ah right, I thought dual-ddr and ddrII were the same, but wasn't too sure about it (hence the question mark). Which one is almost as fast as rdram? Cause I'm a little confused now..

Either. Basically dual-DDR uses 2 sticks of memory to make the pipe bigger (128bit, IIRC). With DDR-II, the spec calls for it being a bigger pipe, so you don't need the 2 modules for higher bandwidth...same thing as the dual-channel RDRAM modules. In fact, good old SIMMs and then DIMMs come to mind 🙂
