Actually I have 2 dual CPU computers, new one is P3 733 on Asus CUV4X-D(one retail and one OEM) and the other old one is P3 500 on Tyan Tiger 133(both are OEM). I have no problem at all since I built these two computers, but I noticed the difference when I use Winzip to compress more than 2 files. When I use dual P3 500 to compress, the CPU usage will go up to 100% always if I compress more than 2 (even 10)files at a time. However, dual P3 733 only goes up to 50%.. which seems like it only uses one CPU to do the work. I am not a hardware expert, so that is what I am wondering maybe it's because of the voltage. I found my OEM 733 has 1.70 volts on the chip, but retail one is 1.65 something.. or I am thinking too much..?
