My brother in law is building a dual Cpu system. I think his power supply is too small and I feel he should be running a minimum of 350 watts. His local ISP vender has him convinced that a 235 watt PS should suffice, but what's an ISP vender know. What do you guys think?

I think he's running:

Abit VP6 mb
(2) PIII-1gb Cpu's
(1) HD
(1) Cdrw
(1) Cdrom
(1) LS-120 floppy
unknown video card
unknown modem
(4) unknown size case fans
Win 2000

350W's is more than he needs. The 235 should be fine. A lot of our servers(managed hoster) are running dual p3-1Ghz off 300W's. And many of them are setup with 3 or even 4 scsi drives running RAID.

If anything, a 300W power supply would do him fine, anything more is overkill for what you have listed.

Dual 1ghz, I say 300watts minimum,unless he's running maybe just 1 hd, then even.
