I am having a little problem. I have a Matsonic 7070SD dual p3 motherboard. Right now I have only one p3 cpu in it, and the other socket just has a terminator card. The manual says I need this thing called an APICS card that allows dual cpu function, there is a socket for it on my board, but I can't get a response from Matsonic nor find it on ebay. What do I do? Does anyone know where to get it or have it? I really want to squeeze more out of this older computer by adding another 100 dollar p3 cpu and doing some smp.

Thanks

The APIC module contains the Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller chip that is not needed for a single processor but is needed for dual processor operation. These modules have become rare, since later chipsets contained that APIC straight away without the need for a separate chip.

That Matsonic board is a badge job of an ECS/PC-Chips board. Try those companies, also other rebranding outlets like PC-Ware, Amptron and the likes.
