Dual core temps

Hi.

I have an AM2 X2 4800+ and the cores show different temps in "Coretemp" software.

They show different temps in the bios also.

Are the cores stacked on top of each other making one run warmer ?

I notice a temp difference between cores of around 5-7C with my X2 3800+.

Core 0 reads higher than Core 1.

My temp difference between the cores range from 5-12C with my X2 3800+.

I've heard that AMD temps are +- 14C when checking temps using core temp.
